The participant understands that there is a risk of personal injury in the course of instruction and, with this knowledge, agrees to assume the risk of any injury and damage he/she may suffer as a result of participating in classes (in-person and online) and/or attending the gym. In addition, if attending Athletica Parents classes that they (the participant) retain all responsibility, assuming the risk and legal liability for the safety of their child/children within the gym whilst they are attending classes and waiving and releasing all claims for injuries, damages or loss which your child might sustain as a result of being in the gym whilst you, (the participant) is participating in classes (in-person and online) and/or attending the gym.
Specifically, the participant agrees to hold harmless Gymnasium Group Limited (trading as Gymnasium), our coaches and employees, and other participants attending the class and/or the gym from all losses, damages, injuries, causes of actions, claims, or complaints in the event that the participant is damaged or injured in any way during the participation, instruction and/or performance of any exercise or during any activity in the class (in-person and online) or otherwise when attending the gym.
The participant further agrees to strictly obey coaches' instructions, and observe all safety rules relating to the classes (in-person and online), operation of the gym equipment and within the gym itself.
The participant understands and acknowledges that all children must remain in the designated safe area during classes.
Because of the physical demands of the training, the participant understands that he/she must be in good physical condition to participate in our classes (in-person and online) and at the gym.
The participant understands that it is their continuing responsibility to inform the coach(es) at Gymnasium Group Limited (trading as Gymnasium) of any previous or current medical conditions, injuries or surgeries prior to attending a class (in-person and online) or the gym - these may include but are not limited to:-
- Abdominal disorders
- Back pain/problems
- High blood pressure
- Nerve damage/trauma
- Pain, stiffness, swelling, broken bones
- Shoulder/neck problems
- Auto-immune disorders (e.g. ME, MS)
- Epilepsy
- Arthritis (osteo or rheumatoid)
- Heart conditions/disorders
- Hip problems
- Low blood pressure/fainting
- Knee problems
- Osteoporosis
- Pregnant/recent pregnancies
- Surgery (in last two years)
- Varicose veins/Oedema
- Sensory disorders affecting eyes/ears
- Anxiety/Stress/Depression
- Balance affecting disorder (e.g. vertigo)
- Diabetes
- Respiratory problems (e.g. Asthma)
I consent to the use of pictures, audio or visual recordings taken of me in connection with my membership for publication, promotion, social media, articles, advertisements and shows without compensation at this time or any other time. I understand that I may withdraw my consent immediately at any time by email to
support@gymnasium.fit.
I have read and understood this waiver and release of liability, and I agree to its provisions. I confirm that I am not under the influence of any drugs, alcohol, or other intoxicants. I am not suffering from any illness or incapacity. I am over 18 years of age. (If not over 18 years of age, parent or guardian must sign.)

Gymnasium | Membership Terms & Conditions
These terms apply to all Gymnasium memberships and sit alongside the Waiver you have already signed. By joining or transferring to Gymnasium, you agree to the following.
Joining Gymnasium — Your Contract
- Your membership contract is with Gymnasium Group Limited (“Gymnasium”).
- These terms apply from the date you digitally sign them.
- We’ll send all updates and notices to the email listed in your Gymnasium profile. Please keep your contact details up to date in the App, it keeps life simpler.
- We aim to apply these terms fairly and transparently for all members.
2. Membership Transfers
If your membership transfers to Gymnasium through an acquisition, business transfer or system migration, these Gymnasium terms apply from the transfer date.
- Any previous provider’s terms, pricing, access rules or entitlements do not continue, unless we confirm otherwise in writing.
- Transfer or transitional memberships and pricing (including discounts) are time-limited and will automatically revert to standard Gymnasium pricing once the stated period ends.
3. Membership Types

Memberships cannot be transferred to another person.
Introductory Memberships
- One-time only for new joiners
- Paid upfront or monthly over a set term
- Automatically converts to a monthly membership at full price unless cancelled
- Non-refundable during the introductory period (beyond the 14-day cooling-off, if applicable)
Monthly Memberships
- Billed on the 1st of each month
- Minimum commitment: 1 month
- Attendance-limited memberships operate on a calendar-month basis; unused classes don’t roll over
Class Packs
- Upfront payment
- Non-refundable
- Expiry date shown at purchase
4. Class Access Rules
- One coached class per day for all membership types. A no-show counts as your class for that day.
- Open Gym, Motion or any supplementary training programmes, including Run and Cycle Club do not count against your one a day.
5. Fees & Payment
- Membership fees are charged on the 1st of each month in advance and are visible in your Gymnasium App profile.
- You must pay fees whether or not you use the gym, unless your membership is paused under our Pause Policy.
- If your membership ends, you must cancel your own direct debit.
6. Missed payments
- If you miss a payment, we may suspend access until it’s sorted. We may use a collection agency if needed (but we’d really rather not).
- If a payment fails, you’ll need to settle it by debit/credit card or another approved method.
7. Pausing Membership
You may pause your membership for:
- Pregnancy
- Illness or injury
- Redundancy
- Earned loyalty pauses (if eligible – we’ll let you know)

- This forms part of your contract. While paused, you won’t be charged, and you can’t train. Pausing isn’t the same as cancelling.

8. Cancelling Membership
- Cancellation notice must be sent by you, the member, to support@gymnasium.fit.
- Cancel with at least 7 days’ notice before the membership billing date of the 1st of the month.
- If you give notice within 7 days of the 1st of the month, the next month will be charged and membership will run until the end of that month.
- If you join online (not in person), you have a 14-day cooling-off period. Cancel within this window and we’ll refund any unused portion.
9. Late Cancels & No-Shows
- We operate a fair-use policy to protect access for all members.

- Late cancel - £5 fee
- No-show - £10 fee
- 1-hour cancellation window (or 10 pm night before for early morning classes)
Fees will be charged with your next monthly payment or invoiced separately.
10. Behaviour & Use of the Gym
- Gymnasium is a community-first environment. You must treat coaches, staff and fellow members respectfully. Abusive, discriminatory, threatening or unsafe behaviour may result in immediate termination of your membership.
- Please follow coach instructions for your safety and others’.
- We may restrict access if your behaviour risks injury, damage or disruption.
- We are a ‘Tops On’ gym.
11. Changes (Us)
- During any business transfer or operational change, class times, membership types, and access levels may vary and will depend on available capacity. We may amend access levels, timetables, or membership availability to ensure the gym operates safely and effectively. Any changes will be communicated to you.
- If we change prices or these terms, we’ll give you 30 days’ notice. You may cancel if you’re not happy with the change.
- We may update linked policies (such as the Pause Policy or Late Cancellation Policy) from time to time. Any significant changes will be communicated to you.
12. If Stuff Happens
- If we cannot provide services for more than 30 consecutive days due to events outside our control (e.g. fire, flood, pandemics, power outages), either party may cancel the membership. No compensation is payable beyond unused membership time.
13. Liability
- We’re responsible for loss or damage you suffer if we fail to use reasonable care and skill, and the loss is something that was reasonably foreseeable.
- We do not limit or exclude our responsibility where the law prevents it — this includes death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud.
- We’re not responsible for loss or damage that couldn’t reasonably have been predicted, or for your personal belongings unless we’ve been negligent.
- You should check with your doctor before starting any new exercise programme or class.
- These terms do not affect your statutory rights under UK law.
14. Your Data & Privacy
- We process your data according to UK data protection law.
- Our Privacy Policy is available on our website.
- We may share limited personal data with coaches, third-party suppliers or debt-collection agencies where necessary.
15. Transfers of This Contract
- We may transfer our rights and obligations under this contract to another organisation. We’ll notify you, and you may cancel within 14 days if you do not wish to continue.
16. Governing Law
These terms are governed by English law. You may bring claims in the courts of England, or if you live in Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland, in your local courts.
