Assumption of Risk:
I agree to participate in a physical fitness program designed by CrossFit Vauxhall, which may include, but not necessarily be limited to, CrossFit training. CrossFit Vauxhall has made me fully aware that the fitness program which CrossFit Vauxhall offers, and in which I agree to participate, is of a nature and kind that is extremely strenuous and may push me to the limits of my physical abilities. I recognise and understand that the programme is not without varying degrees of risk which may include, but are not limited to the following:
•Injury to the musculoskeletal and/or cardio respiratory system which can result in serious injury or death.
•Injury or death due to negligence on the part of myself, my training partner, or other people around me.
•Injury or death due to improper use or failure of equipment.
•Injury or death due to a medical condition, whether known or unknown to me.
I willingly assume full responsibility for any and all risks that I am exposing myself to as a result of my participation in the CrossFit Vauxhall programme, and accept full responsibility for any death that may result from participation in any activity or physical programme. I hereby certify that I know of no medical problems that could increase my risk of illness and injury as a result of participation in a fitness programme designed by CrossFit Vauxhall. CrossFit Vauxhall informed me that there exists the possibility of adverse physical changes during an exercise programme and I fully understand the same. CrossFit Vauxhall informed me that these changes could include abnormal blood pressure, fainting, disorders of heart rhythm, stroke, and in very rare instances, heart attack or even death. With my full understanding of the above information I agree to assume all risks associated with my participation in CrossFit Wandsworth's fitness programme.
Release of Liability:
In full consideration of the above mentioned risks and hazards and in full consideration of the fact that I am willingly and voluntarily participating in the activities made available by CrossFit Vauxhall, I hereby waive, release and discharge CrossFit Vauxhall and its employees and volunteers of any kind related to, arising from, or in any way connected with my participation in the fitness programme.
This agreement shall be binding upon me, my successors, representatives, heirs, executors, assigns, or transferees. If any portion of this agreement is held invalid, I agree that the reminder of the agreement shall remain in full legal force and effect. If I am signing on behalf of a minor child, I also give full permission for any person connected with CrossFit Vauxhall to administer first aid deemed necessary, and in case of serious illness or injury give permission to call for medical and or surgical care for the child and to transport the child to a medical facility deemed necessary for the well being of the child.
I recognise that there is risk involved in the types of activities offered by CrossFit Vauxhall. Therefore I accept financial responsibility for any injury that I may cause either to myself or to any other participants due to my negligence. I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless CrossFit Vauxhall, their employees and volunteers from liability for the injury or death of any person(s) and damage to property that may result from my negligent or intentional act or omission while participating in activities offered by CrossFit Vauxhall.
I agree to allow CrossFit Vauxhall, its employees and volunteers to use picture(s), film and/or likeness of me for advertising purposes. In the event I choose not to allow the use of such media, I must inform CrossFit Vauxhall of this in writing.
I have fully read and understand the foregoing assumptions of risk and release of liability, and I understand that by signing below it obligates me to indemnify the parties named for any liability for injury or death of any person and damage to property caused by my negligent or intentional act or omission. I understand that by signing this form I am waiving valuable legal rights.
GDPR – Use of Client Personal Data (under new GDPR 2018)
Vauxhall Functional Fitness(CrossFit Vauxhall) will collect and process the Clients personal data in order that they can use our gym facilities. The data processed is limited to contact details such as name, email address, Home address and mobile phone number and Emergency contact details. Your card details are stored for Auto renew payment and future purchases (card details are encrypted).
This data will be used only for communication purposes and marketing and will not be used for other purposes or transferred to a third party without the permission of the individual. We process personal data such as Date of birth, address and sex for the purposes of data reports on our clientele to best understand our current and future market.
We may contact the Client at a later date to inform them of additional services that we now offer in relation to their original engagement. Data will be retained for up to two years following this engagement’s conclusion.

CrossFit Vauxhall Social Media Policy
Purpose:
This Social Media Contract Policy is designed to provide guidelines for the appropriate use of social media by CrossFit Vauxhall employees, members and ad-hoc users. The purpose is to maintain a positive online presence, protect the privacy of individuals, and uphold the reputation of the gym.
1. Professionalism:
a. Employees and members are expected to maintain a professional and respectful tone when posting on social media platforms.
b. Avoid posting content that may be considered offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate.
2. Confidentiality:
a. Do not disclose confidential information about CrossFit Vauxhall, its employees, or members on social media.
b. by signing this policy, you are agreeing to CrossFit Vauxhall using video/photo/text content taking from within the gym or during gym related activities. Such uses include but are not limited to posting on social media and in advertisement of the gym. You can opt out of this at any time to by emailing CrossFit Vauxhall on info@crossfitvauxhall.co.uk.
c. from time to time, members will take photos and videos from within the gym, related to their own training. In any instance that you would not like to be recorded or to be posted on social media by that person, it is the members responsibility to speak to the other member who is filming/taking photos to request they don't post on social media or include them within any filming/photography.
3. Endorsements and Sponsorships:
a. Employees and members must clearly disclose their affiliation with CrossFit Vauxhall when endorsing or promoting gym-related products or services on social media.
b. Obtain permission from CrossFit Vauxhall before using its logo, name, or any other intellectual property in personal social media activities.
4. Discretion in Posting:
a. Refrain from sharing internal gym matters, disputes, or grievances on social media.
b. Be mindful of the content shared, ensuring it aligns with CrossFit Vauxhall;'s values and mission.
5. Representing CrossFit Vauxhall:
a. Employees and members should make it clear that their views expressed on social media are their own and not necessarily reflective of CrossFit Vauxhall's.
b. If representing CrossFit Vauxhall in an official capacity on social media, follow the guidelines provided by the gym's official social media policy.
6. Reporting Violations:
a. Any employee or member who becomes aware of a violation of this social media contract policy is encouraged to report it to a member of staff..
Consequences of Violations:
Violations of this social media contract policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment or membership.
Review and Updates:
This policy will be reviewed periodically, and updates may be made as needed. All employees and members are responsible for staying informed about the current version of the policy.
Agreement:
By continuing employment or membership with CrossFit Vauxhall, individuals agree to abide by the terms outlined in this social media contract policy.
