Welcome to SALT. We’re proud to create a space where people come together to train, move and feel their best. These Terms and Conditions outline how membership at SALT works, what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you as a valued member of our community. Please read them carefully before joining or taking part in any of our sessions.
Part 1: Terms and Conditions of Membership
Section 1: Definitions
Booking Charge – a payment to SALT by a Member in addition to the Membership Fee, for example for an event, specialist session, or class not covered in the regular Services.
Categories – membership options offered by SALT, including Ignite, Ignite Plus, Peak, Peak Plus and Infinity tiers. Additional packages such as class packs, student, Space residents and colleague discounts are also available.
Facilities – refers to all premises and equipment belonging to or operated by SALT, St Andrews.
Fee – the payment for Membership granting access to SALT’s facilities and services.
Member – any person who has successfully applied for membership, agreed to these Terms, and paid the required Fee.
Membership – the entitlement of a Member to use SALT’s facilities and participate in classes and services.
Membership Period – the time period for which a Member’s membership is valid.
Privacy Policy – the SALT Privacy Policy included in Part 4 of this document.
Services – includes all CrossFit, Hyrox, Reformer Pilates, Mat Pilates, Barre, Yoga, Spin, Personal Training, Nutrition and other related fitness sessions provided by SALT.
WodBoard App – the gym management app used by SALT to manage bookings, memberships and attendance.
Section 2: The Membership Agreement
By joining SALT, you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions. This agreement is between you (the Member) and Resolute Fitness Ltd, a company registered in Scotland with its registered office in Cupar, Fife.
Your membership becomes active once your application is approved and your first payment has been received. Memberships are personal and non-transferable.
SALT may update these Terms occasionally to reflect operational, health and safety, or legal requirements. Any significant changes will be communicated through our website, app or on-site notices.
Section 3: Membership and Use of Facilities
Members agree to:
- Pay the applicable membership and booking fees.
- Follow all health and safety advice from SALT staff.
- Treat other members, SALT coaches, and staff with respect.
- Keep their personal information up to date.
Membership is available to individuals aged 18 and over. Students aged 16+ in higher education may join with valid student ID.
SALT reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or cancel membership if these conditions are not met.
Section 4: Membership Fees and Payment
Membership fees are listed on SALT’s official channels, including our website and Instagram page (https://www.instagram.com/saltstandrews/). Payments are processed securely via Stripe through the WodBoard App.
SALT reserves the right to review and adjust prices periodically. Members will be notified at least 30 days in advance of any fee changes.
Section 5: Cancellation or Suspension by the Member
Members have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of joining to cancel their membership. If facilities are used during that time, a pro-rata fee will apply.
Cancellations outside of this period may be considered for reasons such as long-term illness, pregnancy, relocation, or financial hardship. All requests must be made in writing to hello@saltstandrews.com and will be assessed case-by-case.
Section 6: Suspension or Termination by SALT
SALT reserves the right to suspend or terminate a membership without notice in cases of serious or repeated breaches of the Code of Conduct, misuse of facilities, non-payment, law breaking or abusive behaviour toward SALT staff or members. Fees will not be refunded in such cases.
Section 7: Bookings and Class Access
All sessions must be booked in advance through the WodBoard App. Spaces are limited and available on a first-come basis.
- Members must arrive at least 5 minutes before the class start time.
- Cancellations must be made via the app at least 2 hours before the class starts.
- Failure to attend or cancel multiple times may result in booking restrictions.
- Additional workshops or specialty classes may require an extra Booking Charge.
- SALT reserves the right to amend schedules or temporarily close facilities for maintenance or events.
Section 8: Liability
Members use SALT’s facilities and equipment at their own risk. While our coaches are qualified to guide safe training, you are responsible for ensuring you are fit to participate.
SALT is not liable for loss or damage to personal belongings. We recommend keeping valuables with you at all times.
SALT does not exclude liability for injury or death caused by its negligence.
Part 2: Your Health and Exercise
Before participating in any class or training session, you confirm that you are in good physical condition and capable of the activity you choose to take part in. If unsure, consult a medical professional before starting.
Members are responsible for disclosing any medical conditions that could affect their safety or that of others. If you experience dizziness, chest pain, or shortness of breath during exercise, stop immediately and seek assistance.
Part 3: SALT Code of Conduct
At SALT, we foster a community built on respect, inclusion and teamwork. To maintain this, all members agree to:
• Treat everyone—members, SALT staff and visitors—with respect.
• Follow the instructions of SALT coaches and staff at all times.
• Keep the space tidy: return and wipe down equipment after use.
• Refrain from offensive, discriminatory, or aggressive behaviour.
• Not attend under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• Avoid taking unauthorised photos or videos of others.
• Arrive early, be ready to train, and respect class times.
Members who breach the Code may be asked to leave the premises and risk suspension or termination of membership.
Part 4: Privacy Policy
SALT values your privacy. We collect and process your personal data in line with UK GDPR regulations to manage memberships, process payments, communicate updates, and ensure your experience is safe and enjoyable.
We use WodBoard for membership management and Stripe for payments. Both are GDPR-compliant third-party providers.
