Compound open gym is an unsupervised facility during open gym hours, which means the addition/enhancement of certain risks.
I, the undersigned, am aware of the additional risks of training in Compound open gym as an unsupervised gym facility. These risks include, but are not limited to:
- There may be no other client on hand to assist in the case of emergency – and should another client be on hand they will most likely not be trained in emergency care. I accept that some emergencies demand immediate care in order to prevent death or permanent damage.
- Ordinary risks may be enhanced in the absence of a trained attendant. Severe head injuries, serious arterial lacerations, strokes, heart attacks, or other such serious conditions could become life threatening when there is no emergency care or when emergency care is delayed. In addition, minor injuries can become more serious when treatment is delayed or an inappropriate treatment is applied.
- Satisfactory emergency care may be unavailable or delayed. There will be no trained party available to utilize the AED in the event of sudden cardiac arrest and there may be no one to call the emergency services for help.
- The danger of getting infections is increased. The chance of getting infections such as colds, influenza and staph are enhanced as no staff are on hand to clean and sanitize equipment on a periodic basis.
I, the undersigned, am aware that there are significant risks involved in all aspects of physical training. These risks include, but are not limited to:
- Falls which can result in serious injury or death, injury or death due to negligence on the part of myself, my training partner, or other people around me.
- Injury or death due to improper use or failure of equipment
- Strains and sprains
- I am aware that any of these above mentioned risks may result in serious injury or death to myself and or my partner(s).
- I willingly assume full responsibility for the risks that I am exposing myself to and accept full responsibility for any injury or death that may result from participation in any activity or class while at, or under direction of Compound Strength and Conditioning LTD
I acknowledge that I have no physical impairments, injuries or illnesses that will endanger other or me.
If you tick any of the ‘yes’ boxes below you must have your doctor’s written consent before undertaking any exercise class/session provided by Compound Strength & Conditioning LTD
